TIFF files in the scan batch are automatically replaced with prepared replacement images based on detected QR codes – precisely, reproducibly, and without manual intervention.
QR Code Generator for Placeholder & Cover Sheets
Sequential QR codes are generated as PDFs: one placeholder sheet per code for the batch and one cover sheet for the individual scan – with freely selectable suffix and automatic numbering.
Merging from multiple scan sources
Ideal for complex files such as building files: documents from the document scanner and plans from the large-format scanner are automatically merged into the complete digital file.
Parallel operation of multiple instances
Different barcode folders can be processed simultaneously with separate instances. Shared replacement and target folders are explicitly permissible.
Log file & detailed results overview
All replacements, missing replacement files, and errors are fully logged. The results overview appears automatically in the foreground after completion.

Four Steps to the Complete File

The workflow is clearly structured: print cover sheets, scan in placeholders, provide replacement images, start Exchange. The application handles the rest fully automatically.

Ready to use immediately

Start QR Code Generator & Create Cover Sheets
Enter start value, end value, and suffix, select target folder and generate PDF. For each QR code, a placeholder sheet for the scan batch and a cover sheet for the individual scan are created.

Insert placeholder & provide replacement images
The placeholder sheet is placed in the main batch and scanned. The separate plan or document is captured via the second scanner – the file name of the replacement image corresponds to the barcode value.

Start Vision.Toolbox Exchange & select folders
Enter the barcode value, select the barcode folder with the batch TIFFs, replacement folder with the replacement images, and the target folder for processed replacement files. Set the processing mode.

Start processing & check results
The application replaces all placeholder TIFFs, moves used replacement files to the target folder, and shows the results overview. The log file documents all processes without gaps.
