Batch-Control monitors your scan directories fully automatically, evaluates status files of the Kodak Capture Pro Software using freely configurable rules, and informs you via email – without cloud services, without detours, directly from your infrastructure.

Time-Controlled Directory Monitoring
Monitors several scan directories simultaneously – either at fixed time intervals, at specific times of day, or a combination of both.
Individual check rules with flexible operators
Text, numeric, and date operators (e.g. equals, not_empty, datetime_older_than) enable precise monitoring of every batch state.
Email notification via SMTP
After each scan run, a summary email is sent with all anomalies – configurable for any standard SMTP provider using SSL/TLS or STARTTLS.
Graphical Config Generator
The configuration – directories, check rules, SMTP, email texts – is conveniently created and tested via a dedicated graphical interface.
Multiple parallel instances
Different projects or clients can be monitored simultaneously and independently with separate instances and their own configurations.

Four Steps to Continuous Monitoring

The setup is clearly structured: start the Config Generator, create the configuration, start monitoring. The application then runs permanently in the background – without further intervention.

Start the Config Generator & configure scanning
In the Scan tab, define the scan mode (interval, fixed times, or both), file name, file level, and all directories to be monitored.

Define check rules
In the Check Rules tab, create rules with key, operator, comparison value, severity level, and individual message – or load typical example rules with a click.

Configure SMTP & email
Enter the SMTP server, port, security method, and password. Subject lines and email texts for anomalies and error-free runs can be freely customised. A test email verifies the configuration directly.

Start batch-control.exe – done
The application loads the config file, monitors all directories according to schedule, and sends summary emails with all anomalies – fully automatically, permanently in the background.
